Limit product quantity per sale

• Can I limit the quantity of any single product sold to a single customer on a sales order?
• Using Inform, you can add an internal note that will display when your salesperson or counter clerk adds an item to a sales order. This message can alert the salesperson to limit the quantity of this product the customer may purchase at one time.

  If you are using Inform eCommerce, then you can limit the quantity a customer can purchase online. 

  Inform ERP

  1. Go to File > Product > Master.
  2. Find the Product you want to limit.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Click the Notes tab. 

     

  5. Type the message that you want to appear whenever this product is added to a sales order. 
  6. Click Save.

     Note: To display notes when a product is accessed, make sure File > Company > Master: Alert Product Internal Notes is set to Yes.

  Inform eCommerce

  1. Go to File > Product > Master.
  2. Find the Product you want to limit.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Click the Web Options tab. 

     

  5. In the Max Web Order Qty box, type the number of units the customer is permitted to purchase online.
  6. Click Save.

     Tip: If you want to customize the message that appears if a customer adds more than the limited quantity to their cart, go to File > Company > Inform eCommerce. Click the Options tab, and then type the message into the Max Web Quantity Order Message box on the Products panel.
