Dear Distributor,
Backing up your Inform data daily can be the difference between smooth operations and chaos in the face of unexpected data loss.
This is not a sales pitch!
This week, one of our clients reported that their system was inoperable and we discovered database corruption and extensive data loss. The DDI Team with their IT professional worked through the night to restore data and resume normal operations. This success was possible because our client had a successful data backup.
Those of us relying on technology to work remotely realize that your systems and backup verification takes on new importance. Please review your backups for your Inform ERP data, related attachment and content folders.
Recommended backup schedule:
- Daily after 12am to avoid conflict with scheduled evening processes
- Full Backup: Weekly
- Incremental Backup: Daily
- 2-week Backup Retention (without overwriting)
